
Let’s face it, none of us need to make another New Year’s resolution that we end up breaking sooner or later and feeling like a failure. Instead, this year, why not commit to making a real change for your life? Commit to making a new year’s revolution, instead. And, the easiest way to actually make a change is to follow a proven system; a system that has not only worked just for one person, Brian Tracy, but for thousands of entrepreneurs just like you.
Here are the seven proven steps he suggests in his New Year’s video to make a substantial change for success in your life.
Step 1:Get up early
Get up one or two hours earlier than you have to be at work or than you start working at home, if you’re a home business owner. Invest the first hour of your day in yourself and read something inspirational, think about your day and visualise what you’re going to accomplish. Meditate or do some physical exercise.
Step 2: Write out your goals
Write out your 10 goals in present tense. Write them with specific numbers and date and as if you were already there: ‚I earn … dollars a month by the end of July this year‘ or ‚I weigh ….. pounds by ….. . Repeat writing your goals every morning without looking back and you’ll notice that you’ll end up attracting all the right people and opportunities into your life.
Step 3: Plan your day
Plan every day in advance. People who plan their day accomplish ten times as much as people who don’t. Make your to do list (if you haven’t done it yet the day before) and set priorities. Decide what’s important and what isn’t. And then immediately get to step 4.
Step 4: Start on the most important task
Select your number one task for this day and get started. Concentrate on this one goal until you’ve accomplished it. This alone will improve your productivity and performance by 50 to 100%.
Step 5: Educate yourself
Listen to an educational tape while on the road or read inspirational books on a regular basis. Contunually fill your mid with new ideas that can help you to get better results. Read material that uplifts you and makes you a better person.
Step 6: Dedicate yourself to lifelong learning
Become a student of your craft. Make a decision to become the best in your trade.
Step 7: Treat everybody like a one million dollar customer
Treat every person as if he or she were the most important person in the world. Meet the people in your life – no matter if in private or in business – with fondness and respect. They will love you and you’ll feel wonderful about yourself, too.
Step 8: Eat healthy food and exercise your body
I’m adding one more step to Brian Tracy’s be productive steps, because I couldn’t think of feeling good without this one. In my own experience it’s the single most important thing for my wellbeing to get physical exercise at least three time a week and to eat healthy low fat food. If you make a change in your eating habits you will not only lose weight and feel lighter, you will also accomplish more because your mind will be clearer and you’ll focus your attention a lot more easily on the things you want to get done.
If you do all these steps you’ll have complete control of your life and get great results !
So, this year, don’t just make a goal for the year, make a shift for life. Follow these guidelines and figure out what exactly they mean for you. Creating good habits, picking priorities, and knowing what’s working will help you feel confident that you’ll accomplish what you set your mind to.
